Students will work on two different paintings. In the first, a 4 session painting, we will work on an "academic" study of the figure, using color and shape to make sense of the structure (anatomy) and volumes of the figure in light and shade. The second pose will be a 5 session painting, in which we will concentrate on the figure as a compositional element in our design. Some figure drawing experience is recommended.
